Worship with Us!

Join us every Sunday morning at 10:30 in worship.

Our service begins with members of our music team leading us, as a congregation, in song. The music is lively and contemporary. Please, lend your voice!

A Children’s Church program for toddlers to preschool and Kindergarten through 5th grade is offered during our worship service. The children begin in the main worship service and are dismissed to their classes after the set of praise songs. The Children’s Ministry utilizes the Super Church curriculum.

Our worship service includes prayer and centers around a consideration of God’s Word, in relevant and applicable terms. We observe the Lord’s Supper together as a part of our worship experience the first Sunday of each month.

Amherst Christian Church is a casual and friendly environment. We hope you’ll join us, and when you do, that you’ll feel right at home.

Be sure to stay after the service for coffee, refreshments and fellowship. We would love a chance to meet you!

Our VISION and MISSION

“Networking Christ to the Community and the  World”

Welcome to the Internet home of Amherst Christian Church.

We are a growing community of believers living out our lives together in the love and service of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As you continue through our website we hope you will find areas of personal interest that will encourage you to consider Amherst Christian Church as a place for you and your family

Our Vision

Our primary purpose is to see Christ formed in every individual. When nominal Christians grow in Christ, His character, purpose and passion becomes evident in them. Through an intentional emphasis on making disciples and equipping them for the works of service God has prepared for them the individual and the body of Christ is made stronger, (Ephesians 4). Our vision to be a Church without walls is accomplished as we disciple individuals to the “Irreducible Core” which is to love God, and love our neighbors and make disciples.

Our Philosophy

The people of God are the church and individually members of His body. Every Believer is a Minister of Christ and gifted for the work they are called to. Although we can serve Christ individually, we are far more effective when partnered with other believers. We believe that believers will produce the greatest amount of fruit in a ministry they are gifted for. We believe that God has given every believer natural and spiritual gifts. When our gifts are combined and exercised in concert with other members of the church accomplish their intended purpose. We encourage members of the body of Christ discover and develop the gifts and talents God has given and to employ them their gifts in the congregation and community. We can best accomplish this by becoming a participating member of the spiritual community.

Our Method

Employing the equipping ministries listed in Ephesians 4:11-12.  Discipleship groups and small groups that meet on campus and in homes.  The Ministry of the Saints: God has given every believer natural and spiritual gifts. These gifts, when combined and exercised in concert with the members of the church, serve to accomplish the work of the ministry. Every true believer should view themselves as ministers of Christ.

Spiritual Formation

A Variety Of Methods Incorporating gifted Elders, small groups and Seminar workshops work towards establishing our Church.

At Amherst Christian Church intentionally focused small groups and ministry teams meet regularly for the purpose of fellowship, friendship, evangelism, discipleship and service. Our small groups are structured to meet the needs of church members and those with similar interests in the secular community. The church in the New Testament was comprised of small groups that meet weekly and gathered together for corporate worship on the Lord’s day (Acts 2:42-47).
