Connecting with others on this journey of faith is one of biggest blessings of being part of the body of Christ. At Amherst Christian Church there are a number of small groups, studies, and opportunities to serve within the body that are great connection points. More than “another item on the calendar,” getting involved with others can be a point of joy in the journey!  There are many ways for you to connect with others at Amherst Christian Church.

Here are several opportunities. We’d love to have you join us!

Living Stones

Living Stones is an open group intended for anyone that is present at ACC on the 2nd Sunday of every month. At the close of the worship service, all are invited to share a meal and participate in a 30-minute small group study.

You also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:5

The apostle Peter identifies Christ-followers, people like you and me, as living stones that are being brought together for God’s purpose. You see, no matter how comfortable or secure you may be going it alone, it is not what God has intended your life to be. Through Living Stones, you can expect to meet new people and deepen your relationships with others. Expect to experience the love and acceptance of Jesus through the members of your group.

Sunday Morning Bible Study

Each Sunday Morning at 9:00 am we gather for a time of reflection and study of Gods’ word.  We cover various topics throughout the year and everyone is welcome to come along. We are currently looking at the book of First John. The group will focus on specific verses from the book directing us to live the Christian life as the apostle says we are to live. Join Us!

Women’s Bible Study

Co-led by Dottie Matthews and Cindy Gaudreault, this is a small group for women desiring to encourage one another and be encouraged applying God’s Word to everyday life. Meets Wednesdays at 9 am

Men’s Discipleship Group

For men who seek knowledge and practical skills needed to be a committed Christ follower.  Groups are structured to maximize a deeper relationship with the Lord and one another. Thursdays at 6:30 pm.

ACC strongly believes in and teaches the power of prayer. Scripture teaches us that as we humble ourselves and pray, God will hear us and move upon our needs. We gather each week on Saturdays at 8 am and Sundays at 10 am to stand together in prayer for our church, leaders, community, and nation.
